About the AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter Order of Prometheus Award
Those selected for the Order of Prometheus Award demonstrated exceptional achievements in the field of unmanned systems and robotics. They have shown remarkable leadership, made significant contributions to technological advancement, and had a profound impact on their organization or community. The selected individuals have a proven track record of driving innovation, enhancing operational capabilities, and fostering collaboration within the unmanned systems industry. Their work exemplifies a commitment to excellence and has had a tangible positive impact on their respective fields.
Order of Prometheus Award Criteria
Membership in AUVSI: Prospective awardees should be currently or have been a member in good standing of AUVSI for a minimum of three (3) years.
Outstanding Achievement: The Order of Prometheus may be awarded for a single outstanding achievement or the result of an outstanding career in Government, academia, industry, or the military that furthered the goals and ideals of AUVSI. Achievements can occur in any of the four membership areas identified below. Examples might include innovation in industry that improves capability or performance of unmanned systems; advancements in the field of unmanned systems research or technology development; an improvement in the operational use or implementation of unmanned systems; or an act of outstanding service in Government or the military that promotes unmanned systems applications.
Membership Areas
Academia: outstanding professor or researcher.
Industry: program managers, technical directors, engineers, support contractors.
Operations: logisticians, maintainers, system operators.
Government/Military: leaders and professionals with distinguished careers or who have exhibiting exceptional service in the unmanned systems arena; or individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance during one or more tours of duty associated with unmanned systems applications.
