Request for 2027 AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter Board Nominations

The AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter is looking for nominations for the following Board of Directors positions! Below are the responsibilities of the elected board /committee member. The term of service is two (2) years.

Vice-President:

  • The Vice-President shall perform such duties as assigned to him or her by the President of the Chapter within the term of the Constitution and By-Laws and shall perform such duties as are usually incident to the office. The Vice-President shall become Acting President until such time a special election can be held for a new President, if for any reasons the office is vacated between yearly elections and he or she shall discharge the duties of the President, whenever, in the discretion of the Board of Directors, the disability or absence of the President renders such service advisable. The Vice-President shall be a member of the Board of Directors.

  • Responsible for resourcing and oversight of Chapter Constitution, Chapter By-laws, Standard Procedures and Operating Plan (SPOP) or Integrated Master Plan / Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS), Rolling Quarterly Milestones being addressed during Monthly Board Meetings and Membership meetings.

  • Partner with other organizations (AAAA, AUSA, AFCEA, GEOHSV, Govt, Academia, etc.)

Secretary:

  • The Secretary shall keep a record of the proceedings of all meetings of the Chapter and Board of Directors and of all other matters of which a record shall be ordered by the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall issue notices of all special meetings. The Secretary shall maintain a current chapter membership roll and maintain the files and records of the chapter. In addition, the Secretary shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Constitution and By-Laws of the chapter and by the Board of Directors, as are usually incident to the office. The Secretary shall be a member of the Board of Directors.

  • Maintain listing of Current Members as defined in the By-Laws, and provided by AUVSI; Publish minutes for Pathfinder and Foundation Board Minutes; Oversee the Calendar (web based, including schedule for board and regular (general) membership meetings)

  • Publish Annual Inventories of capital and equipment, and any Government Property or Furnished Items from Inventory Control (Badge Printers)

  • Tracking of Annual Inventories of capital and equipment, and any Government Property or Furnished Items from Inventory Control (Badge Printers)

Charitable Foundation:

  • Develop and Publish Metrics for:

    • Grant Applications:

      • Received

      • Awarded

      • Cycle Time,

      • Amount/ New Club?

      • Present during Annual Symposium?

    • Scholarships:

      • Applications

      • Cycle Time

      • Awards

      • Article for Webpage and

      • 1 yr follow-up

  • Participation in next year’s Symposium as follow up and professional development

  • Draft articles for publication (COMMUNICATIONS / SOCIAL MEDIA) with pictures for Website, National AUVSI Promotion, and support of Chapter / Foundation Missions & Objectives

  • Sources of grant applications submitted to corporations or other entities for future grants / scholarships

  • Plan to increase sustained Grant and Scholarship sources. (Partnering with similar organizations as previously demonstrated with AAAA, or MOU with AUSA, GEOHSV, AFCEA)

Communication/Outreach:

  • Develop and Publish Metrics i.e.

    • Chamber of Commerce

    • Articles Planned vs Actually Published

    • Video’s Planned vs Actually Published

    • Advertising Planned vs Actually Published

    • Events (Grants, Scholarships, Speakers, Meetings, Elections, Upcoming Events) Planned vs Actual

  • Social Media

    • Webpage with links to National

    • Secure Website for accepting Financial Transactions (i.e. SQUARE)

    • Social media outlets content/channels management

    • Social media outlets content/channels management

    • Security Certificates for Websites, WHO is Registration (websites)

  • Government Liaison

    • Develop and Publish Metrics for

      • Elected Officials

        • AL State Senators

        • AL State Representatives

        • AL Representatives

        • AL Senate

        • Madison County Commission

      • Madison County Law Enforcement and Emergency Management Agency

      • Huntsville

      • Madison City

      • Athens

      • Decatur

      • Alabama Northern Tier EMA directors (Johnny Walker at GEOHSV has this info)

      • Tennessee Southern Tier EMA

Initiatives:

  • Develop and Publish Metrics for:

    • Cooperative Research and Development Agreement(s) CRADAs

    • Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) or Agreement (MOA)

    • Technical Interchange Meetings

  • Roadmap Enablers

    • such as Partnering with Association of Old Crows Classified @ MSIC annually

  • Relationship with FIRST Alabama (FLC, FRC, FTC)

  • Recruit 5 members to provide nominees to Chapter Board Meeting 60 Days in advance of Election for publication with their bio and reasons for the position.

  • Work with Secretary and Communications for publication on web, and social media channels
